Krystal Aarons, CASAC-T, MSW Intern

Clinical Social Work Intern

I’m an addiction counselor with a master’s degree in psychology, specializing in addiction counseling, from The City College of New York. I also hold a CASAC-T certification and am currently a social work intern. I have experience working with a broad range of age groups across different fields, including providing counseling to adolescents and adults (young to late adulthood) in juvenile justice and addiction treatment settings, as well as experience in ABA therapy and early childhood

education. I also have experience with group counseling, having facilitated healthy relationships, anger management, substance use, and domestic violence groups.

I utilize my training and experience to support individuals through a holistic, person-in-environment lens, recognizing the various experiences and environments that can influence an individual’s well-being. I strive to promote long-term stability and effective care while fostering a safe and empowering space where individuals feel supported in working toward their goals.

I have a strong passion for psychology, mental health advocacy, and serving people, and I choose to serve others by supporting their mental health needs and guiding them toward their full potential. What I love most about this work is being there for people during some of their most vulnerable moments, planting seeds of confidence and healing while reminding them of their capabilities, and seeing them slowly bloom as a result. This is what inspires me to continue serving others and pursuing this field.
