Rexhep (Rex) Rizani, MHC-LP

Mental Health Counselor

Rexhep Rizani (Rex), MHC-LP, is a dedicated mental health counselor with a strong academic foundation and a passion for helping individuals and couples navigate life’s emotional challenges. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology and Philosophy from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and earned his Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Manhattan University.


Rex specializes in working with young adults (ages 19–29) and adults (ages 30+), providing support in areas such as depression, grief, anxiety, panic disorders, phobias, and trauma. He also offers family therapy and couples or marital therapy, creating a safe, collaborative space for improving communication, connection, and emotional well-being within relationships.


Rex’s therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), while also integrating psychodynamic, relational, and person-centered techniques. This blend allows him to tailor sessions to meet each client’s unique needs and goals, whether they’re working through past pain, navigating current stressors, or striving for personal growth. Known for his calm, thoughtful presence and insightful guidance, Rex is committed to fostering meaningful change and resilience in his clients’ lives.
