Avi Wershba, LMSW

Licensed Master Social Worker

Avi Wershba, LMSW, earned her master’s degree in social work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Her expertise is in working with older children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral issues in school, academic or learning struggles, peer conflict, and eating/weight concerns. She also has experience working with children in foster care, parents of children with disabilities, individuals with ADHD and Autism, and families who have recently immigrated to the United States.

Avi works from a strength-based perspective using a variety of modalities, including CBT, motivational interviewing, and behavioral interventions. The best advice she has received is “no child is bad” and “behavior is communication.” Her inspiration comes from seeing her clients develop faith and confidence in their abilities, where they previously thought it wasn’t possible. She strives to use positive interventions to help children and families find and follow their desired path.
