Eliana Porush, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
Eliana Porush holds a license as a Master Social Worker. She obtained her master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Touro University. Her expertise lies in offering therapy to children, teens/adolescents, and young adults with a focus on treating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-harm, and phobias.
Eliana primarily uses Internal Family Systems (IFS) and a relational approach, meeting clients where they are and seeing them with respect and dignity. She also incorporates aspects of Somatic Experiencing (SE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) into her work.
● Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps individuals understand and heal different sub-personalities or "parts" within their mind, particularly those wounded by trauma.
● Relational Trauma Therapy: Focuses on healing trauma from relationships, improving how individuals relate to themselves and others.
● Somatic Experiencing (SE): A body-focused therapy that processes and releases trauma stored in the body, restoring natural self-regulation.
She expressed, "I enjoy working with my clients. I see them as courageous and am inspired by their determination to heal, even when it's challenging. She mentions the most valuable advice she has received: "Embrace discomfort.” Feeling uncomfortable is alright. That's where growth happens.
